First off: thanks to all the new-blue-people who have signed up to the mailing list in the last couple of months. I feel like the popular girl in class!

And YES you do get 12 free tracks when you do that but I'm still shocked. Who knew there were so many of you out there? The curious. The supportive. The real fans. Thank you.

And while I'm on the subject of signing up to the mailing list and getting the 12 free tracks - how come you're all downloading but you're too shy to tell me what you think of the songs? I mean some of you have written to give me appraisals but I could use more!

Anyway - there have been more sign ups to the email list in the last 2 months than in ALL of last year combined. Whether this is due to the release of New World Coming by NOKIA - on their latest European and Asian cell phone - or not - I do not know. This phone is reportedly being sold by the tens of thousands and that's a good thing. Undoubtedly lots of new fans are being turned on by this track (it's not a ringtone it's the whole track) when they purchase the phone. So, if this sudden popularity is due to NOKIA then THANKS cell phone people - for picking that track for your new product. It IS a cool tune if I do say so myself.

And anyway - I am amazed and bewildered at the huge number of new fans signing up and lending their kind words and support to Delphinium Blue. THANK YOU all profusely from the heart of my bottom. I promise not to spam the hell out of you. Actually I only email when there really is something cool going on that you might want to know about.

On to other things: Okay - well, summer is here and I am not happy about it. I do not get along well with heat. I get along even less well with humidity. And we have plenty of both here in Washington, DC where I am feverishly working on preparations for some tentatively planned live shows. When will these events actually happen? Good question - but the best bet is Fall & Winter coming up in a few months. Yes, it's really not THAT far off.

Delphinium Blue is actively talking with a number of booking agents and other assorted club persons with regard to doing some rather lengthier live shows sometime in the near future. I would personally prefer cooler weather for those shows - and it looks like I wouldn't be able to do anything any sooner anyway so...good for me.

In case you didn't know - in order to do a live electronic music show a lot of backing material has to be adapted to a club environment - and that's what I've been doing now for many weeks. And there will be many more before I'm ready to come out of my cave (uh studio). But interestingly enough - from this work has now come a fairly manic new version of Boy Seventeen which is very fast and very clubby. If you guys come to the shows and if you like it then maybe I'll release it at some point. There have been a lot of requests for a club version of that song (ever since it first came out) so now I can tell you that it actually exists. And it's pretty much done. So, I'm moving on to New World Coming later this week - revamping it and the other tunes which will make up the live show.
